My First Wedding Cake

This is my first attempt at a Wedding Cake.  The whole wedding colour theme was Red, Orange and Yellow, the bride wanted the cake in those colours too.  I did actually emboss all the fondant in a flourish pattern but it is a little hard to see in the photo's.  The wedding took place at 10.00am on the 10/10/10! Congratulations Tamara and Brian, and thank you for the honor of making your Wedding Cake x

Marshmallow Pops

I am in love with these, not only do they look adorable, they are super yummy and are quick and easy to make - what more could we ask!

Here is how to make them

First skewer all of your marshmallows, they don't really need melted chocolate to secure as they are sticky enough inside to hold them in place, try and purchase the bigger marshmallows as they look more balanced
I added some edible glitter to my fairy dust to really bring out a "sparkle" on my pops (cerise and white glitter)
Prepare your melted white chocolate.  For a nice smooth and glossy consistency add a little Copha (vegetable shortening) and stir until smooth.  Dip in half of the marshmallow into the mixture, swirl the stick above the bowl to get off any excess, you only want a thin coating, then dip into the fairy dust mixture. place all of your dipped marshmallows onto baking paper to dry before plating up to serve! Enjoy x

I found the most gorgeous tutorial on CopyCat Crafts http://www.CopycatCrafts.com
Its a tutorial on how to make a cute Ruffle Skirt made from a t-shirt!  Here is my version, I dusted off the old sewing machine, and am really happy considering I have'nt sewed in a very long time - it's amazing how blogging is so inspiring! Singlet for skirt $8 (Australian) and little matching dance wrap top $8, $6 for iron on motif and lace, not to shabby $21 for a beautiful gift.
